Inspiration From Maya Road Designer Katrina Hunt
I knew when I also got the new t, that it was going to work so well with some pictures I hadn’t scrapped yet! That flamingo was calling my name! I cut the body out of some paper from the collection and then I cut the beak out of some black cardstock. Then, to make them match my picture a little more, I added some extra color with my Prisma colored pencils. The little die cut flowers I added some of the brads that were in the Simple Stories collection also. I used the Danielle Mini Alphabet Chipboard painted with a color that would pull out the flamingos in the pictures.
Next, I used a tiny scalloped chipboard frame to create a little cluster of embellishments, aka sun and cloud! I painted the actual frame part with some acrylic paint and then the center I covered with some of the washi tape from the Simple Stories collection. Added a few stickers and it makes a cute focal point!
When I first started my layout, I wanted to use a chipboard speech bubble but was undecided on how to embellish it. Pink and green just remind me of flamingos, so I pull out the Self Adhesive Rhinestone Trim in Ballet Pink and Lime Green. Then I just cut the rhinestones to cover the letter pieces of the chipboard. I tucked a Small Vintage Paper Flower in Pink behind it just for fun.
I love to tuck things in here and there and these Glassine Bags are perfect for just doing that. They are fun to dress up with stickers, emboss them, etc. Very versatile and you can make them match any project! I tucked some of the Kraft Large Tickets in just for fun and tied a bow around with some of the KO Jute String.
